I would hang onto the V-Star unless you could get full retail price for it and look aroung for a used Savage (Is a used Savage called a Salvage? - Just kidding.) DEFINITELY find a new dealer, this guy sounds like he's trying to screw you. The changing of the deal and giving you store credit instead of cash is no good. One thing I like to do after I find a good dealer is write a letter to the manager of the lousy one and let him know he won't be seeing any of your money due to his less than honorable business practices. A lot of these guys try to take advantage of a woman thinking she won't know better. Don't let them! They are just above used car salesmen and politicians in the food chain. This places them below molds and single cell animals.
